GiveSmile was born in the hearts of two young Venezuelans who grew up sharing dreams, songs and unwavering faith. This is their story.
Music, faith and purpose
Where it all began
Samuel Duque and Albert Vargas met as young men in a small church in Venezuela where both played on the worship team. From the first chord they played together, they knew music had united them for something greater than themselves.
Over the years they became more than friends — brothers in life. They shared afternoons rehearsing songs, early mornings praying together, and the joy of growing up surrounded by a community of musicians who loved God and their people. That community was everything to them.
Among those friends was one special person: another musician, a companion in chords and in faith, who shared the same dream of doing something great for others.
In the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, that friend — a musician, a brother in community — passed away. The news shook Samuel and Albert to their core. It wasn't just the loss of someone dear; it was seeing how his family was left helpless, without resources, without an organized support network that arrived in time. Many people wanted to help, but no one knew how to do it effectively and transparently.
Sitting with their guitars, unable to play, they asked themselves the question that would change their lives: what if there was a platform where support actually arrived? Where every contribution was traceable, verified, real — and anyone could give what they had?
From grief came purpose. In honor of their friend, and everyone like him who deserves a solidarity network that doesn't fail, GiveSmile was born.
The night that changed everything

Samuel and Albert meet as young men on their church worship team in Venezuela. Music, faith and friendship intertwine from day one.
COVID-19 takes a close musician friend, a brother in community. His family is left unprotected. Wanting to help wasn't enough without organized support. That wound plants the purpose.
Processing the loss together, Samuel and Albert ask: how do we stop this from happening again? The answer starts to take shape — a platform where solidarity is real and traceable.
Without knowing how to code, they started learning. Without capital, they found mentors. Without a network, they built a community. All driven by faith and their friend's memory.
After months of work, testing and much prayer, they launch the platform. First verified campaigns help real families in real time.
The dream is alive: a borderless solidarity network where every contribution is transparent, traceable, and arrives when it's needed most.

Guitarist at heart and systems builder by vocation. Albert designs the architecture that makes every donation transparent and traceable. His motto: if it can't be verified, it's not worth it.
